As I mentioned a few weeks ago Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will officially open the Wang Nam Khieo Flora Fantasia on December 20th 2010.

These flower gardens will certainly enhance the area and from what I have seen the gardens are fantastic. The sponsors of the event have certainly not skimped on spending to ensure this will be a spectacle to remember.

This event  runs from 20th December right through until 28th February 2011. Tickets can be bought from the link below.

The whole of Wang Nam Khieo will, I am sure, benefit from these gardens. For example, along the main road from 79 to the site, around 8k, there are literally dozens and dozens of temporary stalls being built so local people can sell their wares and show off their craft skills.
