Our traditionally-built hillside restaurant rewards diners with outstanding views of beautiful scenery stretching for ten to twenty kilometres.
At Baan Pak Sabai, we believe in sourcing food stuffs and produce locally, and employ only local staff. We grow a lot of our own vegetables using organic horticulture (without man made fertilisers), and the superior taste and freshness experienced in our restaurant is one reason for it’s fame spreading.
Our restaurant staff offer a wide range of Asian and Western cuisines, including a full range of Thai dishes.
On request, we offer a broad range of Thai regional banquets such as the “Khan Toke” finger buffet from the North of Thailand (Lan Na), the “Moo Kra Ta / Moo Yang” Korean-style, table-top domed-grill over a charcoal firepot, and a number of other traditional tabletop-cooked meals popular throughout Thailand.
Also on request, we provide a number of self-catering barbecue options ranging from poolside party arrangements to smaller personal barbecue facilities for use at your chalet or tent. Guests using our accommodation can also request picnic packs to take out with them on day-trips, or day-visitors and resident guests can request picnic lunches (with all the trimmings) for casual dining within the grounds at Baan Pak Sabai.
We are more than happy to extend our lunch or dinner time dining facilities to visiting tour groups looking for a meal-stop location. With in-restaurant seating for up to 70, plus an additional 30-40 seated in the adjacent dining salas, plus on-grass picnic places for over 100 persons, we can comfortably accommodate dining for convoys of tour coaches, and provide parking for them during their stop. (We ask that tour agencies and guides book large parties at least several days in advance, in order that we can ensure sufficient staff are on hand to assist your travellers and escorts.)
Our restaurant provides -
- Dining for 70 people in the main restaurant – pre-booking is required for all diners.
- 3 semi-private, open-sided dining salas, each for up to 12 people in comfort, or for 16 in close company.
- A large lawn allows approximately 30 “picnic-blanket”, casual family-dining spaces, on the gently sloping grass.
- Baan Pak Sabai’s restaurant is well known for Thai and Western food (at very reasonable prices), using fresh produce which is mostly sourced locally.
Parties and special events
Sunset and evenings at Baan Pak Sabai’s restaurant are times of natural beauty, romantic peacefulness, and relaxing isolation. The hillside setting, more than a kilometre from the nearest main road (which is not particularly busy anyway), means no traffic noise or pollution, and allows you to hear the night time wildlife serenading you. The intimacy of dining within an island of soft lighting surrounded by darkened countryside brings an atmosphere that no city restaurant can compete with, and the garden’s scents and cooling breeze tell you that you are truly out of the urban sprawl, not just shielded from it.
In such a setting is the perfect backdrop for a private party. Whether for an anniversary, birthday, celebration, engagement, wedding, or simply a special treat for your corporate or organisational staff, you’ll find that Baan Pak Sabai will provide that special evening to remember.
Should you want to have special entertainment arrangements such as a disco or live performers, there is plenty of space for them, and our restaurant is already equipped with a karaoke system should you want to use it.
We have a karaoke and sound system connected to a large flat screen TV with a selection of over 30,000 songs, many of which are in DVD format, so you can sing along with the stars performing the songs. This facility only costs 100 Baht per hour and can give enormous fun to everyone.
Whatever your reason for dining with us, you can be assured that all our staff will do their utmost to ensure you have an enjoyable experience at the Baan Pak Sabai mountainside restaurant.
